Littleton, CO - April 23, 2021 - DSI, a subsidiary of Colorado-based Headwater Companies, announces the acquisition of Atlantic Turbine Pump in Pelham, Ga., a lineshaft turbine facility specializing in vertical, horizontal, split case and submersible turbine pumps. The acquisition brings new manufacturing capabilities to DSI, a leader in the water industry since 1954, with plans to expand services into more municipal, commercial and large-scale agricultural applications.
“We are very excited about being able to extend new product capabilities to our existing customer base, as well as future customers, with the addition of this lineshaft turbine facility,” says Kevin Hancock, DSI President. “Building lineshaft turbines, along with the addition of in-depth employee experience, brings a new level of service and expertise to DSI.”
David Berggren of Atlantic Turbine will take on the role of branch manager for the new DSI location. DSI’s Brad Inman will be the regional manager and Matt Roberts will be the assistant branch manager.
The 15,000-square-foot assembly and repair facility will be known as DSI Pelham, located on three acres in the Pelham Industrial Park along Highway 19. The acquisition includes state-of-the-art machinery and tooling along with the transfer of five trained and certified machinists who collectively possess over 50 years’ experience in the water industry. DSI Pelham is DSI’s 19th location.
With this new location, DSI can build lineshaft turbines as well as repair all makes and models of pumps. In addition, DSI Pelham will serve as a major distributor for manufacturers across the country, housing an extensive inventory of new equipment and replacement parts for all product lines.
“This addition to our already extensive product inventory will help keep lead times down to a minimum, so that we can build and ship products as soon as possible to our customers around the country,” Hancock says. DSI Pelham will provide 24-hour emergency services seven days a week, 365 days a year.
