The Quality Technician will be responsible for monitoring and supporting all aspects of the HES Quality management system. The Quality Technician is a hands-on role consisting of inspection, auditing, documentation, team collaboration, and professional communication. This will include verification and measurement of received and shipped products using various metrology instruments, BOL’s, technical drawings, and supporting documentation. This role will provide support in tracking and evaluation of supplier performance, supplier non-conformance and corrective actions, and certifications. The Quality Technician will also perform calibration of equipment and process audits to ensure compliance with our Quality Management System where findings are managed urgently and professionally with the support of management.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming and in process work and materials to verify compliance or identify non-conformance.
Provide accurate and complete documentation of inspections (including photos) to support work.
Help ensure that the company adheres to ISO procedures and work instructions by performing regular internal audits.
Aid production personnel relative to the inspection process as instructed.
Audit calibrated company and personnel-controlled equipment. Make minor repairs or adjustments or remove from service for reconditioning and or recalibration.
Coordinate calibration suppliers for rework or other external calibration requirements.
Help manage all tasks associated with the Non-Conforming Materials Disposition as required.
Visually, mechanically, electrically, or dimensionally inspect production material and completed product for defects.
Provide immediate support response for factory identified non-conformance.
Aid in process capability studies and analyzing results.
Co-facilitate root cause analysis activities.
Develop work instructions, data collection records and charts as required by the business.
Coordinate cross functional teams to effectively communicate between shifts and departments to identify and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
Maintain adherence to quality standards. Propose improvements to procedures, processes, and work instructions.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Test Lab Technician will be responsible for the testing of all hydraulic components required by Headwater Engineered Systems including, but not limited to Vertical turbine line shaft pumps, submersible turbine pumps, horizontal split case pumps, and fully integrated packaged systems. Position includes all scheduling, set-up, testing, reporting, and tear-down responsibilities. Position will report directly to the Sr. Engineering Manager but will work cross-functionally across all Headwater groups, including other branch locations.
Principal Accountabilities:
Review performance test results to determine accuracy of test.
Prepare and maintain performance reports in a professional manner.
Build and tear-down pump units into a testable unit using available test fixtures, hand tools and overhead crane.
Connect pump to electrical power system, including medium voltage (2300V & 4160V)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or GED
2 years of relevant experience in pump manufacturing and /or assembly.
High mechanical aptitude.
Proficient using MS Office
Able to take priorities from different sources.
Able to work successfully in a team focused environment.
Willing to work over-time when determined necessary.
